Behind the scenes with Karl Lagerfeld on the Chanel spring ’12 campaign at the Cap d’Antibes

Karl Lagerfeld can be seen photographing and directing the spring–summer 2012 campaign advertisements for Chanel in the video below, on location at the iconic Hotel du Cap Eden Roc at the Cap d’Antibes.
The models adopted perfect gymnastic poses while wearing some of the more ornate items from the spring–summer collection, including high heels.
The collection was shown last autumn at the Grand Palais in Paris, with a nautical theme. Lagerfeld showed romantic and feminine dresses, featuring puffed sleeves, ruching and tweed; skirts of all styles; and (a lot of) white, aqua, pale blue pink and black being the principal colours for the season. There is a light, approachable feel to the designs, reflected in the campaign.
