THE AFTER-PARTY for Burberry Prorsum on Tuesday was the must-attend at London Fashion Week, as the city celebrated the return of one of its most iconic labels, and the close of the 25th anniversary edition of the event. It was a firm statement that London had not been overtaken by Paris, Milano and New York, and the celebrities were there to prove it—even one politician, Lord Mandelson, and billionaire businessman Sir Philip Green. Photographer Mario Testino worked the room, which is always a good sign that the important people are around: the last thing one wants is a fashion week where no connections are being formed, as that’s the sure sign of stagnancy. This might have been the most vibrant LFW yet. •
