   Lachapelle worked as Luc Laroche’s “other half” for many years. According to the designer and MFW president, she deftly managing his backstage for his shows. Her own was equally well crafted. ‘This was a very strong first collection from her,’ said Laroche, immediately après the well-received showing of her new label Chichi. He was also seeing the collection, a year in the making, for the first time. ‘I had seen some pieces of the line, but she made me wait to see the final result—and it was worth it.’
   Eve Gravel honed her design skills under such local design luminaries as Kevin Allwood of the Nevik label, Georges Lévesque and Kathleen Kovats. Her third collection under the brand name of Eve Gravel Design showed an eclectic mix of pure white against vivid shades of red, turquoise, pink or light green.
