WERE CLEAR, temperatures balmy, breezes light. Le Belvedère, a
spacious, window-lined hall is perched at the end of a pier in Old Montréal,
provided an ideal backdrop for Montréal Fashion Week 5. Held September
6 through 10, the action revolved around this central venue, with a sister
hall, the Panoramic, not far away. Organizers were able to more tightly
schedule the fashion shows, not to mention the de rigueur cocktails
and other industry schmoozathons.
This year, the Week was trimmed to a three-day event,
as a sampling of la belle province’s designers celebrated spring
2004 fashion.
