    Clothes Show Live 1999

However, the funkiest fashions were to be found in the world renowned fashion show hosted by Ministry Magazine, Britain’s best-selling club lifestyle title, with their collection titled, ‘Club World’. It brought together the sexy streetwear of brands such as Pineapple, Vincent Cooke, Big Moose, Choppa, Kronk and Religion, which were modelled in breathtaking dance routines in the ideal atmosphere of live DJs mixing their exclusive and unique Ministry sounds.
What is an outfit without that essential accessory or piece of jewellery? The problem was solved by the vast Designer Pavilion, hosting the creations of Ben de Lisi, David Fielden, Betty Jackson, Antoni & Alison, Janet Fitch and Patrick Cox, presenting the very best in designer fashion, jewellery and accessories at affordable prices, even offering the bonus to meet the designers themselves.
This year saw the most male visitors ever to The Clothes Show Live (not just dragged along by wives or girlfriends or checking out the models) visiting the newly formed Vodafone Men’s Arena, displaying the latest in male fashion and the best grooming products in the world. These were shown in the Men’s Arena with its dramatic on-stage presentations for the men that women want to be seen with. Next year’s fashion for men again sees the emphasis on urban streetwear teamed for a hard industrial look. Cagoules and parkas now in microfibre and coated cotton complemented by a gilet or a body warmer seem to be the next big thing. The next hottest things below the waist (not what you are thinking!) according to Urban Stone and Peter Worth are board pants, parachute pants and drawstrings in flannel; the colours still the loyal charcoals and silver greys.
The Celebrity Wardrobe, organized by the British Heart Foundation, the UK’s leading charity fighting heart disease, raised money by giving visitors to The Clothes Show Live the chance to win clothes worn by the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones, Melanie G., Kele Le Roc, Steve Martin, Jodie Kidd, Greg Rusedski, Robbie Williams and many more. In aid of the charity, there were also exclusively designed Antonio Beradi T-shirts and other items on sale. Written by
